Maternal Health Course (NextGenU) provides comprehensive instruction to the student on the concepts and principles for providing patient and family-friendly nursing care to women during normal pregnancy through the ante-natal, natal, and postnatal periods in hospitals and rural community settings. The goal is to provide a holistic nursing emphasis on the bio-psycho-socio-cultural-spiritual needs of the pregnant woman and her family during the phases of pregnancy, childbirth, and the neonatal period common to populations in both the minority and majority world populations. In an attempt to be relevant to the entire global nursing community, this course addresses nursing skills and practice on several levels. It is the nurse’s responsibility to know what particular regulations apply to their practice area.

Women and girls across many regions face systemic inequities, discrimination, and limited access to essential health services. TUFH’s moral mission is to help address these challenges by mobilizing global experts, evidence, and practical solutions.
Through its Global Communities of Practice platform, TUFH convenes specialists, practitioners, researchers, and institutions working in Women’s Health to collaborate on original content, shared learning, and context-relevant action.
TUFH is proud to partner with Women and Health Together for the Future, a global network of academics, community leaders, and advocates working across more than 24 countries to advance women’s health, equity, and human rights. Guided by its mission to “Work, Help, Teach, and Fund,” the organization empowers women through community engagement, leadership development, education, and targeted support initiatives.
Their focus on sexual and reproductive health, maternal and newborn health, and addressing violence against women—alongside their commitment to community-driven solutions and global collaboration—significantly strengthens the impact of our Communities of Practice. Together, we are advancing knowledge, shaping the Women’s Health agenda, and developing learning and training opportunities that support a more equitable, inclusive, and responsive health workforce worldwide.
At the TUFH 2026 Conference, we are proud to host a dedicated Women’s Health Summit as a core part of the program agenda, in partnership with Women and Health Together for the Future.
