Nicholas Torres, M.Ed, has over 25 years of experience in executive management, Nicholas works at the cross section between the private sector, government, and not-for-profits to align them toward collective social impact and change public policy. Nicholas has led and founded multiple for-profit and not-for-profit social ventures that are driven both by social impact and financial sustainability measures. Some of his launched social ventures include charter schools, an early literacy technology platform; school-based health centers; and community-based satellite college sites. Nicholas serves in the capacity of Executive Director of The Network: Towards Unity for Health where he provides governance, strategy, and financial oversight.

He also serves as CEO and President (Interim) for The Alliance for Health Equity Foundation. He is Co-Founder and manager of Social Innovations Partners which publishes the Social Innovations Journal. He teaches Nonprofit Leadership, Social Policy, and Social Entrepreneurship at University of Pennsylvania.

Aricia De Kempeneer, M. Sc.,  is the Operations and Programming Director for The Network: Towards Unity For Health. She is responsible for managing the annual conferences, virtual regional conferences, TUFH Symposiums and Workshops, TUFH Academies, ISAT, iSTEP, Digital Aspects, Social Media, Newsletter, Communications and Membership. In addition, Aricia is the liaison to the Student Network Organization.   

Aricia holds a Masters in Health Education and Promotion from Ghent University and a Bachelor in Midwifery from Erasmus Hogeschool. She works as an independent midwife in Belgium and gives prenatal lessons, prenatal care, and postnatal follow-up.
Prior to The Network: TUFH Aricia worked as a midwife in Gambia, Finland, United Kingdom, and Belgium in low-risk birthing units. She co-founded and was the first president of the Student Network Organization in 2015. She has been attending TUFH annual conferences since 2012.

Serving in the capacity of Social Media & Conferences Manager at TUFH. Nikolaj Hansen-Turton also serves as Education Platform and Social Media Manager for the Social Innovations Journal. Originally from Philadelphia and now lives in London. Currently finishing studies at Queen Mary, University of London – MSc Digital Marketing.

Delicia Rorich works with the Operations and Programming Director to organize and manage the bi-weekly TUFH Symposiums, Workshops and TUFH Academies. Delicia is an administrative officer at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Faculty of Community and Health Sciences, in Cape Town, South Africa. Completed Project Management and Business Management certificates and is currently enrolled in the Advanced Diploma in Public Administration programme at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences.

Datu is an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology who also studied immunology and oncology from Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada. He completed the doctorate in immuno-oncology at Graduate School of Medicine, Kobe University (2017). He is graduated as ophthalmologist from Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada (2022). Currently, he is an Assistant Vice Dean for Cooperation – Alumni – Community Service and Steering Committee of ASEAN
Academic Network on Disaster Health Management. His research interest is meningioma, retinoblastoma, glioma, graves ophthalmopathy, and SIRPα – CD47 immune checkpoint system. He is also practicing as an ophthalmologist. He has published a range of
scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Vida graduated from the International Relations Department Faculty of Social and Politics Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2000. She starts her career working as administration supports in Asia Link NPC, a Project by European Commission based in Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing UGM in 2004. Vida continued her career at International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies based in Yogyakarta then continue to work in RHK Project Management under Australian Aid (AusAID) and responsible for administration and human resources. Due to her background study, she then continues her career at Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing and managed international collaboration then currently she is a Coordinator for International Relations Office. Vida actively in writing stories for writing event held by writer’s communities.

Dr. Maxwell Kennel is a Senior Research Associate (Research Engagement) with the Centre for Social Accountability. In 2021, he defended his dissertation in the Religious Studies Department at McMaster University, and from 2021-2023 he was a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto working on a book project on critiques of conspiratorial thinking. Max’s research focuses on critical approaches to social accountability in relation to religion, health, and society. He is the author of a book on secular and religious approaches to time and history (Postsecular History, Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), and a book on how violence is reflected in language and thinking (Ontologies of Violence, Brill, 2023).

Veronika is the Community and Young Leaders Development Coordinator at The Network: TUFH. Prior to this, she served as the President of Student Network Organization (SNO) 2021-2022, representing almost 1000 health and allied sciences students passionate about extending the network of health beyond the medical profession. She’s been part of this organization since 2018 and part of its international board since 2019. Veronika has five years of experience in the field of student advocacy and medical education on local and international platforms. She is in her last year of medical degree at Maastricht University, where in 2020 she also obtained a MSc in Global Health. She has special interest in interprofessional health workforce education, mental health of the health workforce, creating accessible and socially accountable medical curriculums, and decolonizing global health. In her free time she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her friends and family.
