Event Description:

Lecture to introduce the value of empathy for health care professionals and define 10 empathetic competencies; emotional literacy, perspective taking, action, communication, self-regulation, collaboration, morality, courage, and change-maker.  We will discuss the possible methods of facilitating to learn by lectures, role modeling, narratives, effective sharing of experiences, simulations, role-play, and community projects. 

Outcomes for Participants:

At the end of the session, the participants will be able to explore possibilities of inculcating empathy among health care professionals during their training programs.
