Competency-based medical education has emerged as the magic solution for improving medical and health professional education in order to produce graduates that are better prepared to provide health care for the past forty years. Many medical regulatory authorities across the globe have adopted this education model and issued competency frameworks. As the consequence, many medical schools have reformed their curricula from subject-based to competency-based curricula. 

Outcomes for participants:

At the end of the session, the participants will be able to stimulate participants to rethink competency-based medical education, especially how to implement and how to link its impact with improved health care.
